DESCRIPTION
When it was published in 1989, Remembering Aleister Crowley gave us an intimate glimpse into the meeting of two of the great occultists of the twentieth century. Here could be seen the themes and later pre-occupations of The Great Beast as he sought to instruct a young Kenneth Grant into the mysteries. Crowley’s initiatory techniques and Grant’s later insightful commentary produces a book rich in anecdote and personal reflection.
To commemorate the centenary of The Book of the Law, in January 2004 I wrote to Kenneth Grant and suggested we produce an augmented edition of Remembering Aleister Crowley. Kenneth agreed, and supplied FULGUR with an unpublished photograph of Crowley and a Chinese calling card Crowley once used. We produced facsimiles of both. Skoob Books declined to participate in the limited edition, but were kind enough to supply us with the copies needed.
