Tilly Craig

BIOGRAPHY

Tilly Craig is a writer, researcher and producer. She holds a BA in Literature from Goldsmiths, University of London and an MA in Literature & Film from the University of Exeter. Her writing on art has been featured by magazines including Elephant and Suspira and commissioned by arts and mental health charity Hospital Rooms as well as curatorial platform Fertile Ground. She has produced projects including exhibition catalogues (Mohini Chandra, Paradise Lost, 2021) and an international symposium with Arts University Plymouth (Seeking the Marvellous: British Women and Surrealism, 2018).

Tilly was part of the project Ancient Scent (2016), exploring techniques used by Ithell Colquhoun in a series of workshops and residencies across Cornwall and Ireland. Subsequently she directed a short documentary film about Jo O’Cleirigh and the Lamorna valley, A Spirit in Place (2018) responding to the connection between magic and place intrinsic to Colquhoun’s body of work. She has developed publications, films and interpretation materials for organisations including The Box museum and KARST gallery. She has worked in a consultancy capacity with artists including Bridgette Ashton, LOW PROFILE and Still/Moving. She is also a member of Black Mirror research network.
