Lindsay Hallam

BIOGRAPHY

Lindsay Hallam is a lecturer in Film at the University of East London. Her book Screening the Marquis de Sade: Pleasure, Pain and the Transgressive Body in Film was published by McFarland, and she recently directed the documentary Fridey at the Hydey. She has contributed to the collections Trauma, Media, Art: New Perspectives(2010), Dracula’s Daughters: The Female Vampire on Film (2013), Fragmented Nightmares: Transnational Horror Across Visual Media(2014) and Critical Insights: Violence in Literature (forthcoming), and the journals Asian CinemaBright Lights Film Journal and Senses of Cinema.
