Hedvig Martin

Hedvig Martin has an MA in History and is currently a PhD Candidate in Western Esotericism at the Center for History of Hermetic Philosophy and Related Currents (HHP) at the University of Amsterdam.

Martin-Ahlén’s project focuses on the religious worldview and art of Hilma af Klint and is funded by the Axel and Margaret Ax:son Johnson Foundations. Martin has written the essay “Hilma af Klint and The Five – The Time of Preparation” published in the exhibition catalogue Hilma af Klint – Artist, Researcher, Medium (Moderna Museet), and has worked as a researcher for the documentary film Beyond the Visible – Hilma af Klint (Ambrosia Films).
