BIOGRAPHY
Elizabeth Insogna is an artist and educator in New York City. She received her BFA in Sculpture from New Paltz and her MFA from Brooklyn College. Her work; interactive installation, sculpture and painting investigates the realm of the divine feminine through queer and feminist space by incorporating ritual, research and visualization through occult practices. Past solo exhibitions include Tracing the Spirit at RAR gallery in Berlin and Psyche’s Reason in NYC. She has participated in group exhibitions at The Spring Break Art Fair, Abrons Art Center, and The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft with an upcoming performance + interactive ceramic installation at the University of Toronto in Persephone’s Return/ Persephone’s Revenge directed by Kay Turner. Residencies include The Fire Island Artist Residency in Cherry Grove and DNA in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Her work has been featured in Artsy, Magic Praxis, Huffington Post, Abraxas journal, Hyperallergic and others.
